Quilting Support Group Thursdays 11:00am-6:00pm
Are you a quilting newbie and are stuck in on a tricky spot on a quilt? Want to start but are overwhelmed by the directions? We are here to help! Bring your project in whatever shape it's in ( we don't judge, not even a little ) and we'll help you over whatever hurdle you are facing.
This is a supported open studio situation rather than . Stay & sew all day or just for a bit, ask questions as needed, we will stand by as much or as little as you want. Megan & Piper are on hand to offer advice, tips, guidance or just moral support and encouragement.
Megan is a VERY skilled and accomplished quilter with 30 years of experience under her belt. I ( Piper ) am a newbie in comparison, a tiny bebe really ( I've been sewing for 43 years but only started quilting about 7 years ago ). How does that benefit YOU? Megan knows quilting inside and out and I am still new enough to it to remember how overwhelming it can be. That brings a powerhouse combo of knowledge and patience that's hard to beat.
Supplies in the Maker's Space are available for you to use. We have sewing machines, rotary cutters, mats & rulers, and iron ( with a LOVELY 30 minutes auto shut off ) & ironing surface and a huge cutting table. If you are working on a quilt that needs a special ruler, call to see if we have it in the space.
Bring your own matching thread or buy a spool when you come in.
