Quilted Jacket Class

November 9th, November 16th November 30th December 7th 

10:00am-12:00pm

Day one of class we will plan out a simple quilt type pattern to make for the quilt "yardage" for your jacket.  While we will get started assembling our *quilt top* in class, you will need to do additional work outside of class time to be ready for class 2. The class fee includes Thursday and Friday Open Sew spaces to allow for enough time to get your *quilt top* ready. Day 2 of class please come with your *quilt top* ready to cut out. We will select a simple pattern for the jacket to allow for showing off your piecing. I'm fond of the Pilvi jacket from Lotta Jansdotter's book Everyday Style. Day 2 will finish with quilting the *quilt top*. Again, addtional time outside of class time may be needed to complete this step. Our table top quilt frame will be a great help in this. As an alternative, handquilting may also be done for this part or you can use our Sashiko stitch machine. ( cheating, yes, I know )

Day 3 and 4 will be constructing our jacket.
